Love that there’s coverage for this — unfortunately, most clients won’t come across these ideas. Frankly, it’s a dicey subject with very slippery terrain, and obviously consumer perception is the biggest factor.
Team Goliath is dominating. My eternal hope and love for partnership offer this as a call to action — I’d like to see Realtor.com/NAR come up with a partnership of sorts to reshape the giant to rely on David’s noble accuracy while promoting a system that helps the village — of Realtors, and of consumers.
Right now, the giant has us by the shorts — our clients use the giant, our colleagues rave about big G, but the data just doesn’t jive, the model doesn’t work. Very quickly around the corner, as merge/buyout talk on the table pans out, the numbers will be forced to match: the Wolf in the village will sniff out the blood in the match. And when that happens, we Realtors, boots in hand, will have casualties to address.
